Fancy Shoes!

Preston does live with a princess, so it was only a matter of time before this happened! He brought me the shoes, held them up and said, "shoe, shoe". I asked him if he wanted to put them on and he said, "Yes!"
Those of you who have heard him say yes are probably smiling as you imagine it! For those of you who haven't, it is very pronounced and excited every time he says it! When he kinda wants to do something he'll say, "Yea" or "Uh-huh". But when he really wants something and you ask him, it's a definite "Yes!" (Can you tell I really like him!?!)
Anyway, we put them on, and it was pretty sweet. So I ran to get the camera and he tried to clomp after me. When I got back he just kept smiling, pointing down at them, and saying, "shoe, shoe!"
At home, this is fine. He's man enough to pull it off. In public is a different story! (Who am I kidding. The time will come and he'll smile so sweetly that I'll let him wear them where ever he wants!) I figure, my sister and I dressed up my little brother in our dance costumes for years and he turned out OK!

Painting!

Tristan loves to paint with water. I recently ordered her some new books and as she was painting, Preston just had to do it too! It didn't hold his attention for very long, but that may be because Tristan wouldn't let him do it by himself!

New hiding place

Both Matt and I have one cabinet under our sinks that Preston can get into. Directly inside these cabinets there is really nothing that could harm him. As I was getting ready the other day I could hear Preston trying to open a cabinet with a child lock on it by Matt's sink. When I turned around to remind him that he couldn't get in that one, I didn't see him! Then the cabinet door moved again seemingly by itself! My little monkey had climbed inside and thought that daddy's running clothes made a great bed! I had to catch a quick picture before he climbed out again!

New Picnic Table

Grandpa and Babci got the kids a new picnic table for Christmas. They had is shipped to us, and upon it's arrival, Tristan insisted that we set it up inside since it was too cold outside. Needless to say, we have already had many a picnic in the livingroom! Preston loves to climb up on top of it. When he stands it makes me a little nervous! Yes, he has fallen several times, but he just keeps on going! I think they will both be a little sad when it has to go outside!

Wii love Christmas

Auntie Amanda got her fiance a Wii for Christmas but since he was flying to Colorado, he let her keep it so we could play over the holiday. Daddy, Auntie and Grandpa played quite a bit of golf, and Tristan wanted to try! She really couldn't do it, but it was pretty fun watching her try!

Here comes Santa Claus

He sees you when your sleeping, and he knows that when Tristan is awake, she is a princess! Santa brought her a Barbie Princess Vanity. She's sitting at it putting on some princess make-up from the kit Auntie Amanda gave her! Who thought that blue was a good lipstick color for a 3 year old?

She (unprompted) wrote a thank you to Santa that said this: "Dear Santa, Thank you for the barbie princess table. Please bring one for Preston so he will leave mine alone." Too sweet!! In Preston's defense, it lights up and plays music. Who wouldn't like that while looking at that handsome face!

Preston loves sitting in chairs (rocking chairs, step stools, boxes, anything really!). Santa brought him a rocker arm chair and ottoman. He loves it! He sat in it while opening his stocking and then all of his presents. At home he can carry the ottoman to wherever he needs an extra step!

Twas the night before Christmas...

...and all through the house, Preston was eating all the chocolate he could find! Since Santa would be coming to Babci and Grandpa's house this year, Auntie Amanda helped Tristan set out the milk and cookies she had decorated earlier with cousin Noah. Tristan really thought Santa would like strawberry milk, but since Babci didn't have strawberry syrup, food coloring had to do! It worked for Tristan, and for Santa!

Preston is a definite chocolate lover. First he had some candy that Great Grandpa's girlfriend Marion had made, which he loved. Then after smiling and saying "cheese" for the camera he wondered off into the living room while we were still visiting in the dining room. He opened a drawer we didn't know he could open and found a bag of Halloween m&ms that Babci had forgotten were there! Not wanting us to spoil his fun, he didn't say a word! There's no telling how many he ate before we found him!
